Set up a new user on a laptop
1. Add user account to laptop
- Log on with an account that has adminstrative priviledge
- Click the window and type “control panel”, and select it
- Click on User Accounts/Add or remove user accounts/Add new user
- [+] Add someone else to this PC with the following options:
- don’t have user’s information
- Add user without MS account
- Add username and password
- For all security questions (e.g. pet’s name), the answer is: stillwater
- Now the account is created, click on it and then Change account type and make Administrator
2. Add server shared network folders
- Log out and sign in as the newly created user
- Say “no” to all the security questions presented
- Open a cmd prompt (not in admin mode)
- net use S: \\sv3\common /p:yes
- net use P: \\sv3\username\SWC /p:yes
3. Add sync folders
- Create folders under My Documents:
- SWC
- SWC-shared
- SWC-support (CFA and CFA-templates)
- optionally pin them to quick access (if the computer will be mostly used remotely)
- Run SyncTrayzor (and allow network access)
- Rename laptop
- search for nearby devices and add waters (SE3G) and SV3 (4NCZ)
- Note that it might be neccesary to do the invitations the other way around, (from the servers) if nearby devices are not discovered
- When accepting the share on the client, browse to
C:\Users\username\Documents\
- It might also be necessary to manually sync to other servers
4. Make sure printer driver installed

1. Add user account to laptop
- These are of the form: initial-lastname@stcap.ca whereas server accounts are firstname-lastinitial
- Log on to: zimbra.xmission.com:7071/zimbraAdmin as user with admin priviledges
- select Home / Manage / Accounts in left sidebar
- One the top-right, in the grey area next to Help, click on the [▼] dropdown and select New
- Fill out the information,
- Class of service is
xmbase
or xmpremium
- add aliases if required
